Okay, I'd expect that from Aquila, but not from you. Ejecting hecklers from a committee hearing is a far cry from rounding people up. Shame on you, Esaias.

I hope, but sincerely doubt, the GOP leadership in the Senate will actually follow through and enforce the penalty. Booker dared them to do so. IMO, he was taunting the Senate leadership to charge him and expel him. It was sickening to watch such utter contempt and lack of respect towards the Senate rules.

Also, late last night, an anonymous individual leaked more committee confidential emails from Kavanaugh to the NY Times regarding Roe V Wade. While the NY Times is keeping the source hidden, it's likely a usual suspect who has been accused of leaking to the press before -- one who earned the nickname "Leaky." Sen Patrick "Leaky" Leahy questioned the existence of this email late yesterday, so it's interesting that the same evening, the NY Times receives leaked documents.

I hope the leadership in the Senate follow through and enforce the rules and consequences and expel Booker from the Senate. But I doubt they will. Because when it all boils down, politics is politics. Now that the Dems have done this, the GOP will hold it over them for a time down the road when they'll do the same thing.
The Bush Records Representative has already stated that the email that Booker was grandstanding about had already been released.

You should expect that from Esaias. It is his view on political matters. The sky is always falling.

The funny thing is, the email doesn't damage Kavanaugh at all.

Exactly! Was he trying to one-up Kamala yesterday? Lol! Thing is, his base will love his “Spartacus” stunt even though it was a lie.

We will see later how Kamala follows up on her stunt last night.

I read that it does damage Kavanaugh's credibility as a balanced jurist.

If that's the case, then why this talk about expulsion? Who brought it up in the first place? Why allow Democrats to manipulate a situation that can never occur in the first place?

Why is all of this happening? Don't you guys see something else going on?

The levee is dry.

The problem with this is that no system is ever perfect. A race-neutral system will probably have other drawbacks as well. They are attempting to paint him as having racist tendencies or something. In that same email, Kavanaugh states he wants a race neutral system so it just seems like another attempt to paint another conservative white male as a racist...

Timeline: Booker tried bringing this up yesterday and Mike Lee stopped it because Booker hadn't provided Kavanaugh with copies of the email to review and respond. Booker was trying to imply that Kavanaugh is racist and supported racial profiling. Last night, the Justice Dept and W's lawyer waived the confidential restrictions on the emails. They notified Booker of that this morning.

Either Booker didn't read his email to see that the restrictions had been lifted, or he did and decided to pretend he was defying the committee in a show to his base.

Booker was the one who kept saying he was breaking the rules, over and over. In fact, Sen. Grassley at one point asked how many times Booker was going to mention breaking the rules.

A couple reasons:
1) Donald John Trump is the POTUS. The Democrats are in full resist mode right now. They condemned the GOP for resisting obama, but are doing the same now.

2) This will change the balance of the SCOTUS, and likely will for the next decade or more. If you think this is bad, wait until Ginsberg either retires or dies in the next few years. It's likely that Trump will nominate three SCOTUS Justices during his time in office, perhaps even more.

Other than career officials trying to derail any and everything the POTUS does? No.
