No matter what the agendas of onlookers may be, you still have two mentally unstable people killing people. That is the focus, yet, we are posting back, and forth like both cases have mentally stable individuals who just committed murder. You do understand that both killers were mentally unstable?

Why, oh why hasn't ABCNews released the 23-page manifesto.

After the shooting in Charleston, news outlets were incredibly quick to publish every little tidbit of information they could find. Yet here, ABCNews was gifted the diary of a mad black man and after two days, still has not released the full manifesto.

So why haven't they released the manifesto?

It's interesting how the media is treating this guy differently than they did the Charleston shooter.

Is the media's hesitation to release more information because he's black, or because he was homosexual?

Either way, it's both interesting and important to note the vast differences in how the media treated the Charleston shooter vs how they're treating this one.

In one case, the killer killed two people and then killed himself within a few hours.

In the other case, the killer killed nine people and was apprehended alive many hours later, in a different state.

The cases are really not that similar.

Also, I think our society is becoming more and more desensitized to violence in general.

Two people dying is TERRIBLE, but two doesn't equal nine-- another possible reason for the desensitized response.

But had this guy or a muslim gone into a white church and killed nine people, there would be CONSTANT coverage of it.

I brought that up back when Charleston happened-- brought up how things would be different if the victims had been white and the perpetrator a muslim.

Race talk-- maybe. Terrorism talk-- for sure. Blame of innocent muslims-- rampant.

I doubt the number of victims is what's causing ABCNews to keep from releasing the manifesto, nor is it because the shooter is deceased.

There are similarities. Not in the number or way the shooters chose their victimes, but both shooters had racial hatred and both had mental issues.

This guy also had a wig, stolen license plates, 6 ammo magazines and a to-do list. He wasn't planning on getting caught or dying right away. So what's in the manifesto? Who else did he plan on targeting?
