There is no courage in committing suicide.
Try telling the spouse and children left behind how courageous it was to commit suicide.

My sister in Law did it in 2010, right before her HONOR STUDENT daughters' graduation, because of hidden depression.
Totally selfish act.

yup. cult of the self, at the end of the day. The climax of a pity party. How messed up to diminish a daughter's accomplishments!

Easier said than done
Do you live with unbearable pain and a long term terminal disease that guarantees a horrible death outside of any divine intervention?
If the church(s) offered the hope that they should be able to through multiple healings of persons dealing with major health issues, you could rightly point your finger at the destitute.
What if your only water supply guaranteed you becoming terminal ill when all you have for further than you can walk is parched land with no water?

Re: Is suicide a sin?
well, you frame this as pointing a finger at someone, when that is not what is going on at all. And, i would say that the real Church, of Living Stones, is misrepresented here as well. This ignores that major health issues are usually self-inflicted, or at least may be sent from God. I know this seems harsh, but if your only water supply is poisoned, build a still. Or pray a prayer of faith over your water. Or move.
But "continue to drink poisoned water until i'm so bad off i choose suicide" is just not overcoming, with all due respect. The correct answer is always going to be "Turn back to God, and stop being so selfish" imo.

Re: Is suicide a sin?
The majority of deaths in Hospice are assisted suicide through pain meds that shut the body down before the terminal cause fulfills its destiny.
However this method is accepted while the bullet through the brain gets persons condemned........... bummer
Does anyone think quality Hospice organizations would survive if they catered to the homeless the same as they cater to home owners?
Seems to be a lot of privileged persons here

Death and sickness are the results of sin.
The only thing that keeps us every day if the hand of the Lord holding back the hand of satan
Meanwhile, try going to the wastelands in Africa and tell the people living there they need to either build a still or move
Fair enough?
You need to wake up some

Re: Is suicide a sin?
Hey, what if "quality hospice organizations" is an oxymoron? i personally find that method at least as reprehensible as a bullet.

why would i do this? it is not my business to interfere in God's will for that people--who incidentally have enough sunlight to build solar stills, along with voices to raise to God, if they wished.
