I think this series has really brought our church to a new level. We had awesome altar services each time; many recommitments and new people coming to the Lord too.

We also baptized two new adults Sunday. One Catholic girl and one guy who has just been a royal heathen, but God has totally turned his life around. So exciting to see the new ones come in!
I love to hear a PW complement her husband's preaching. I've heard some be very critical and make put down remarks. It really bothers me when they do that.

Good to hear the good things happening at your church.

I do not recall my wife ever criticizing a single sermon.

Not because there isn't anything to criticize, but because she is kind.

We had a pastor one time who preached the same sermon 4 times in a row. Someone finally asked him why. His reply? "I'm going to keep preaching it, too. Until you all finally GET it!!"

People get uncomfortable if they see you operate those gifts too much.

As a pastor, I usually do it in stealth mode. I feel like it is healthier for my people.

Preaching out, I don't have as much time obviously to work on things, and so do things a little differently.
Eddie rarely moves in the prophetic/word of knowledge anointing in our own services - once in a while, but it's rare. Because he knows so much carnally (naturally), he does not want people to think he is using info and pretending it's in the Spirit. But in other places, he is much freer to be used that way, because he knows nothing.

Sherri,

Just make sure you don't mouth the words with him - could be distracting!

I think I could preach this sermon now myself. But I don't think I will. I prefer to just be in the amen corner.
