The doctors had come out to tell my sister, and her husband that things were looking very bleak. They couldn't get the pressure down in the baby's eye, and they were looking at having to call in a retina surgeon, and vision loss was expected. Immediately a call was sent out to prayer, here on AFF, through email, text, whoever could pray, was asked to pray.

Just a few minutes later the doctors came back into the room where they were and were amazed suddenly the pressure had gone down in her eye, they were able to find the source of the problem, a small piece of tissue that had gotten left in the eye from the previous operation... which the surgeon said in all her 16 years she had never done .... but... GOD intervened on the behalf of this situation, and immediately the swelling, redness and pressure went away WHILE she was in surgery!

She came out of surgery with BOTH eyes open, hungry, and has been cooing, singing, and eating like a normal 4-mo baby since! My sister was able to take a nap with her this afternoon, awoke refreshed and was able to laugh with me on the phone a few minutes ago... and we are just so thankful for the miracle that did take place today!

Thank you AFF'ers for praying.... prayer is a powerful force and I am convinced more than ever in the power of prayer one for another!!! Our God is listening!!!!

Praise God!!!

Thanks for asking! She was discharged from the hospital yesterday, and I think the whole family went home and "crashed" last night. My sister did say this morning that all the genetic testing, and every single test that they have run on her have all come back negative! So we are so very thankful for that!

The doctors are confident that the problem with feeding that she is having is somehow related to her not being able to see. She should get her glasses in about a week. Right now, she still cannot see, until she gets the glasses. We are hoping that when the glasses come in that will make a huge difference with everything.

Again, continued prayers for this little family would be appreciated, as they still have a long road to go, with the ever present possibility that she could still get glaucoma which would = vision loss... which we are praying will not happen. Thanks so much for your prayers! We KNOW the Lord hears

The Lord blessed in that she is well enough to go home! Yet, we can keep on petitioning the Lord for her eyesight and eating disorder to be healed.

Thank you Jesus for this baby's healing.

Thank you Jesus for this baby's healing.
When Walt went thru his ruptured aneurysm, while he was still in surgery the doctor came out to tell us that it had ruptured but that no one ever survives a ruptured aortic aneurysm. My answer was that if God had intended to take him, he would already be gone. But he was still here. So because I am convinced that GOD NEVER STARTS SOMETHING THAT HE DOESN'T INTEND TO FINISH I truly believed that God was going to finish was He had started in Walt's body. Almost 7 years later, Walt is still with us

Can we agree together that we are going to believe God to continue the healing for this little baby? I am believing that!!

AMEN! What an awesome testimony concerning your husband! Indeed, it is in our very darkest hours that Jesus comes through and does his best handiwork! I've always said - it takes an impossibility to have a miracle. We all want the miracles without having to go through the impossibility, but ... that's not the way it works!

Thanks for your faith and your prayers! I agree that Jesus is able to perform even greater things in the life of this baby, and in this little family!
