1 And at that time shall Michael stand up , the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered , every one that shall be foundwritten in the book.2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake , some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Dan 12:1-3

The great trib Yeshua spoke of was what Daniel said.

Daniel said THEN would come the RESURRECTION.

Yeshua confirmed this and said "immediately after the trib he would gather his elect". So if the trib has passed the preterists have the dubious position that the RESURRECTION IS PAST making themselves into heretics.

Well if thats the way they want it so be it. We are just trying to help.

Why do you think this is funny?

I already explained earlier about the pronoun use of "you".

You all answer this:

If the great tribulation already happened, why does sin abound on this earth?

If he had returned right after the trib in that generation, then we would not be living under these conditions we now live in. That is a simple conclusion.

There would not have been emperors, dictators, presidents, the inquisition, the incessant wars, poverty, diseases, genetically modified food, clones, chimeras, poisoning the earth, the food, legislating good food out of existence and all the evil mankind is doing to God's creation. That is a simple conclusion also for Jesus would be our King here on earth as it is in Heaven. He would not allow man to run roughshod over another.

Please explain to me how Jesus would allow elitist men to run roughshod over the people in this world if the great tribulation had happened already? Especially since He promised to come in the clouds with great power and glory to bind Satan and his minions. Explain to me in history where one entity caused all to take a mark so that they could not buy or sell?

What the earth, the economy, the nations of the world being divided up into 10 regions which will have presidents (kings) over each region and the coming one world currency and mark, all nations going to a central bank run by the World Bank....all this is just "birth pangs".

If you think this is funny, then you have your priorities all wrong. You are flipping away the many scriptures that prove the great tribulation did not happen ...yet.
Excellent point!

I believe it too...only I believe that the "you" he was talking to are all believers down through the ages just like salvation in Acts 2:38 is for all who are "afar off" even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Same principal as when the Apostles address the Churches they wrote. After all it was addressed to certain specific groups Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians, Colossians. It doesnt have OUR name on it. I guess to prets its all irrelevant.

I use to believe a lot of things that I was once "told" but then I studied and learned.

Brother, you ever notice the emphasis on bad, and not on good?

Tribulation is coming, first it was the Roman Catholic church, then the Russians, and then after the Berlin wall came down everyone went after the Muslims?

I will be brief in my question, and really don't want to take you off your thread topic, but....

If you were to die today, where would you go?

Would you go to be with the Lord, or will you go to a grave to sleep in soul sleep?

While I can agree with you, that things will be different in the future, I think what Christ meant to illuminate here is the kingdom of Heaven beside one, and Its coming by stages, day by day, as opposed to the humongous, singular event that we inevitably eschatologise.

Why would Christ "allow" all that?
"Free will" would be my answer, along with
"Don't be a part of it," which I think might be expressed
in more than one way.

Which to me is the true separation from the world.

However, as we can now see...the people are being "herded" like sheep into the world system...especially the financial system.

Most people hardly ever get paid by a check from their employer in their hand at the end of the day. Direct deposit is forced upon you and you get a "mock check" along with a stub. But a pastor who lives on the tithe doesn't see that because the basket is passed around for the "collection".

There are many things that happen in this world that indicate our Savior has not returned yet to rule and reign forever.

Another one of those indicators is the year of the jubilee. And what about the fiat money system?

Re: The Great Tribulation

I suppose the emphasis is on the bad because the bible explicitly outlines what is going to happen before and during the great tribulation. People being beheaded is not something pretty to think about, yet it is happening right now in some parts of the world...even at our own southern border.

another opinion:
generation, ghen-eh-ah (Strong's 1074), a generation, an age (the period's of the person's), an age, generation, nation, time
in other words, Israel as a people will not cease to exist until all this is fulfulled
