Re: Preterism and Communion

Some FPs do take communion, but you'll have to ask one of them why ?

Do Preterists participate in communion/Lord's supper since they believe Jesus has already come?

This probably only applies to Full preterists...
This was my OP

Is it possible for a moderator to change the thread title to "Full Preterism and Communion"

Naw, I think he is one that does not do communion. Maybe Blume-berg can get Benincasa to return again...

I would say that the ones that I have spoken to seem to be moving in the direction of a mid-trib rapture. I have always said that I could see a pre- or mid-trib rapture, but not a post trib. I still see it that way, but I have recently been forced to reanalyze my position. I have said, and continue to believe, that if I continue to live for God, then I will be able make the rapture no matter the point that Jesus comes to take us home.

Those who claim a Mid-trib rapture believe the tribulation is 7 years. I would encourage you to do some research of the biblical term of 'tribulation' and 'great tribulation'. I used to believe 'mid trib' as well but it doesn't quite fit when you really look into it. At least not from the perspective that I have studied. William Chalfant is a pretty staunch Pre-trib rapture teacher and even he said that the tribulation period is 3 1/2 years.
