No, just the opposite. The reasoning as I understand it for the practice is. That if someone lays their hair on a sick person, they will be healed. I was just wondering if anyone had actually seen this done, and the person be healed.
Maybe sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't work. Like psychic surgery.

I have never personally seen anyone laying hair on anyone, but I have seen the preaching videos and read the testimonials and pictures.
I have, however, heard from our close friend, about the angels in the hair, (that's what she tells her girls), and the "power" parallel between an electric power line and the hair on her head. First hand experience.
My Pastor played the infamous Stoneking @ CLC hair message video about 5 years ago (the one with all of the occult references). This was before I had the Holy Ghost, and I didn't think much about the preaching. I remember thinking, "that's interesting", but never looking further in to it, until years later.
Also, it was "spoken in the Holy Ghost" over the pulpit at my church last year that there is power in a woman's hair, even witches know this. There were a lot of amen's in the audience. I spoke with this person a few months later, and he admits to speaking before fact-checking. Since then, I haven't heard anything over the pulpit regarding the subject.
This is where LS obfuscates .... he knows full well that the term "magic hair" has nothing do with performing magic, nor have any detractors claimed as much ... but rather for over a decade he, Reider, Jasinkski and Woodward ... have spoken of the "spiritual significance" of hair using the occult and books of magic to corroborate their message that keeping the uncut hair doctrine gives one special power with angels, the ability to have a move of God, and miracles EXCLUSIVELY because of obedience to this ONE "commandment".
Further it's touted as a "revelation".
Since being publicly rebuked by Segraves ... in the Herald ... LS has tailored his message to not include the occult references in the last year and a half while still listing "miracle" after "miracle" that was the result of this power while stating a woman has the right to lay hair.
No, he hasn't given a recipe with step by step instructions ... but the evidence abounds from those who believe this message that "extra, unique power" is implied in his message and evidence of practices such as laying hair and unbinding hair when praying or worshiping abound with their ranks.
Someone wrote me about this new “doctrine.” Here are his words: “Brother Ensey, I am having a hard time understanding a new doctrine. I understand the teaching of laying on of hands, however, I do not understand the teaching of laying of female hair upon the sick. It seems strange and out of order.”
This is a new practice in some circles, not a new doctrine. Just because it is not mentioned in the Bible doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t or shouldn’t be done at all as an act of faith. However, to attach it to a passage like I Corinthians 11:10 and extrapolate such a theory from that verse would be wresting the Scriptures. Someone might say, “Well, I know a lady who laid her long hair on a sick person and they got better, so that must mean that Paul was trying to tell us that there is power in long hair to heal the sick.” That would be extreme eisegesis.
Surely everyone is aware that anecdotal testimony can be obtained to corroborate ANYTHING! Books could be filled with subjective testimonies that seem to confirm everything from capture by space aliens to having been to the fiery hell and back. When are we going to learn that we judge subjective experiences by the Word of truth, not the Word by someone’s experience and anecdotal testimony? I heard of a lady who was healed when she put her hands in a tub of water that had been labeled by an evangelist as “the pool of Bethesda.” Her simple faith was rewarded.
But don’t start bringing tubs of water into the church. It is unwise to build doctrines or theories on one-time miracles or experiences
I still can't believe that the organization that I was raised in, would even entertain the idea "laying on of hair" or "HMH".
It is very unfortunate that someone that had established themselves as a great spiritual leader/preacher is the point man for this disturbing doctrine. And because of his influence, the leadership is in a great dilemma, as to how to refute this error without causing yet another split.
Someone needs to step up and do the hard work of leadership.

Any ideas who could handle such a task?

Doesn't this idea negate the fact that Jesus was beaten and scourged? And by His stripes we are healed? So if women let down their hair they summon angels?

The LS fan club would love to say this is just an "attack" and figment of everyone's imagination ...
go read Is. 53...the answer for healing is found in this chapter...then James told us to call for the elders of the church...anoint with oil and lay on hands...NOT HAIR...

No. My Pastor invited me to a round table meeting with a few ministers in Michigan this past summer with Bro. Bernard.
Bernard said that one of the benefits of joining the UPCi was accountability. When I asked him what he was going to do about a popular UPCi evangelist misquoting numerous quotes to teach an unbiblical doctrine (http://apostolicfriendsforum.com/showthread.php?t=30801), he suggested either sitting him down for a round table discussion, or leaving it be; because minsters will "catch on" to this false teaching and choose not to bring this evangelist back, thus snuffing out this teaching.
