I am new to the forum and this may have already been addressed before and i missed it.I have been attending Pentecostal churches most of my life and have heard pastors preach against Tv.But without scripture to back it up.

Could someone please give me scripture for this teaching.

Well, our pastor has not preached on TV. We have only done advertising. However, we are moving in the direction of services on TV.

If the resolution passes this year we will probably still not be ready by that time.

If the resolution doesn't pass then I still see us going on TV. It would be local TV only and I doubt it would cause many problems because our viewing area is outside the range any other UPC churches.

You know the truth is that there is not any such verse to not watch tv. But you got to be honest with yourself and God and not watch things that would hurt the spirit. Some people say that "set no evil thing before thine eyes" as the only verse to support such nonsense.

Last I looked, advertising on TV was what all the hubbub was about. It's against the AOF of the UPCI.

I'm not criticizing the act, just the disobedience and the lack of action by the organization. Turning heads..........once again.
