I saw the first part so far of the video... That resentment against God for sending his grandparents to hell is what the enemy took as a doorway into the guy's heart. All these errors have a starting point of similar things.

Whatever one thinks about the doctrine of inclusion, one has to admit the guy has guts to stick to his guns. He had it made but gave it all up for something he passionately believed in.

I respect Pearson for that.

It's hard to wrap my brain around this possibly being something born of conviction though.

Could it simply be that he was led astray by his own lusts?

Re: Carlton Pearson closes his church

As much as i disagree with C. Pearson (hell really is a hot place!), i have to agree with tv1a. I admire his conviction in this. I really don't think he started all this with a desire for more celebrity. But, as someone said, he is too big of a celebrity to just go away. Now that he's getting exposure to a new crowd he'll be around for a while.

To think that he merged his church with the UU.....

Sad............:

True he didn't give it up for conviction but to excuse his sin.

This might be considered controversial to say but...

I'm convinced the devil can and has used that against Apostolics and ex-apostolics too, to turn them from 3-steppers toward 1-stepper (repent and believe and you're saved) doctrine .

When its hard to imagine that Aunt Mae (a lifetime Baptist who never even believed in the baptism of the Holy Ghost) is in hell... it might becone tempting to subscribe to a salvation doctrine that says you're saved even without the Holy Ghost.

I agree, TR. We become more emotionally motivated than scripturally when we err.
