Re: chest pains

I am praying for you. BUT, please do not sit back and wait for an appointment next week. Any chest discomfort needs to be checked out. I am speaking from experience and also a nurse. I prayed all the way to the ER and God did save me I am sure. Women do not experience the typical symptoms that men do ... women often just have a feeling of discomfort and that something is not right. I do not say these things to cause fear. I say this to you because it is better to be safe than sorry. God is the great physican and I will continue to keep you covered in prayer.

Re: chest pains

I am not a lot better but it could be worse. My family did take me to town and I forgot my card that I have to have...an hours drive from here so I am back home it is not paining just the beat is not right. I am going to try to rest in a little while.

Thanks so much for the prayers going up for me. I have been in the hospital before for this problem but it was quite a while back. Last time they said it was stress and my blood pressure was high.

Re: chest pains

Great Lord God,

We humbly ask You to cause Sis. Alvear's heart to regain its proper rhythm
and touch anything else that is not right, and for her body to line up as you
created it to be, in Jesus Name!

My heart was doing weird things earlier this year - very out of rhythm and I felt very strange. The EKG was really bad, and they told me I had PVC's, premature ventricular contractions, I think. Anyway, they changed by blood pressure meds to Toprol, and I haven't had any more problems. But it was so bad for a few days that I had to cancel a vacation to Mexico because the doctor didn't want me to leave the country. It was a very weird feeling!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
