Well I must confess, angel Gabriel is my guardian angel. Actually, he and I were discussing the Obama campaign 5 minutes ago, such a marvelous job they're doing.

Yesterday we conjured Samuel and Peter and played scrabble, I won by two points!

There was a time in our son's life that we were sure that his angel had earned a purple heart! Probably even begged the Lord to send in a replacement for a while.

A kidding aside - from an experience that one of our children had while young - I really do believe that it is possible that a specific angel is assigned to us (especially children).

Dad saw them ... especially in church... during worship ... I don't know if he ever spoke to one.

Sis Alvear, I am curious, while I have no doubt of your visitation, how did you know it was a heavenly Angel?

I ask this because of an experience Elder Gerritsen mentioned of what happened to him.

He was fasting & praying one time & an angel came and told him to go oposite of what he felt the Lord was telling him to do.
When he eventually looked up to the face, he saw hollow spots where the eyes should have been & then he rebuked it.

FTR I have never seen an angel but I believe I have felt them in service & I know that they have protected me so many times--really!

Dan lumped a couple of popular ministers (LS and TB who have some similarities) together to ask a question about something they both seem to emphasize. Each of them has their "fans" and "detractors" and "peculiarities."
How is that a beef against one of them?

I had a friend once who was close to God. He began to see his guardian angel 2 to 3 times a week and started talking to him. Next thing I know he was reading the satanic bible and then actually went to SF and visited the satanic church there. Needless to say he became very mixed up. Talking to angels on a regular basis seems dangerous to me.
