I agree with you. We all have a thorn that we deal with daily.

I have enough scripture to prove it wasn't a physical ailment, and I'm willing to debate one person only, as the rest on-look.
I restate my stance, Paul's thorn wasn't a physical ailment.

I have never thought that Paul was referring to a physical ailment.

I wonder could a Mother In Law be considered a thorn in the flesh ?

Re: What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?
Paul specifically said the thorn was a "messenger of satan to buffet" him.
I have heard every angle as well but I personally feel that it most likely was tormenting thoughts about his involvement with the persecution of the early church (before his own conversion)...especially his involvement with the stoning of Stephen...
I am sure that the haunting memories of his holding the coats for those that stoned him...and his obvious authority to permit or stop such an event in the first place...weighed heavy on his mind. What kind of impact could have Stephen made for the kingdom if Saul would have let him live?
I would imagine that Paul played that scenario in his mind often...especially at night.
Just one opinion...the messenger of satan could have been many other things...depression, loneliness, fear, ...... whatever it was, it was used by God to keep Paul's "feet on the ground".....

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?
Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Unfortunately, your comments are based on assumptions. If you care, I'd be willing to dialog with you or any other.
It seems AFF doesn't have any "hard hitters"!
