I heard it this way, You have intercourse and from that time until the time you marry the person, you are in sin....You are a fornicator until you are married.....then you are redeemed...
I don't agree that one is automatically redeemed just because one gets married. One must actually repent of one's sin (meaning not just to be sorry for it but to forsake the sin). Marriage does not redeem, the blood of Christ redeems - and even then it only redeems those who repent.
If repentance means to forsake the sin committed, then for the couple fornicating before marriage, upon getting married are no longer fornicating because they are now married and the intimacy is inside the marriage vows.
So, they HAVE repented of the sin of fornication by getting married.
Is sex before marriage sin? YES!
