Uhm, the monitor. Not you and your chair.

I think this board should have it's own 'vision'. We'll be more successful that way.

Most of the people on this forum never even knew him and have no idea what his vision was.

That being said......

Jim is gone and I miss him, but it's time to move on.
Wow! Jim is just dead a few years and you are ready to just forget about him. Jim's vision was not some complicated thing for a forum. It was simply that there be an Aposotlic forum where controverseal issues facing Apostolics could be discussed openly.

I strongly disagree with you that NFCF did not carry out that vision and that it is irrelevent or should just be ignored. I am not saying this forum should be directly tied in to Jim Yohe the person but I do think it would be great if it carried on the vision he had for a forum.

MOW is not one of the 5 owners. He is on the Admin Team.
I will verify this by categorically stating that I am not a co-owner of AFF!

CC, that first statement is completely unfair, and I'm surprised that you'd make that kind of statement.

There are very few people on this forum who even knew who Jim was, and of all the members here currently, I bet less than ten percent of us even posted on that forum while Jim was alive, and not much more after.

Your 'simple' statement really isn't that simple, and Jim wanted more than just a place where people could openly speak about topics that were (and still are to some) considered taboo. He also insisted on people discussing those topics without fear or bad attitude. This couldn't be found on NFCF many times.

I think this forum can have the same vision he had, but not because he had it. I remember the days of FCF when Jim was alive. I long to post in a forum like that again, but I haven't since November of 2003. I wish I were still the poster I was when he was alive. I've changed. We all have.

Jim was very much UPC and loyal to it.

He felt there was need for change and he felt that there needed to be a venue where people could express themselves -- how they felt about the organization and the changes that needed to take place and what was happening without fear of reprisal. But he himself was definitely UPC and tight on the doctrine.

Absolutely! He made that pretty clear many times as well.
