That makes sense to me. The Bible says we entertain angels "unaware". Everyone that I have known who has truly seen an angel always describes them as a completely normal male human being. One woman said she realized he was an angel after he walked out of her office because he seemed to be "in" his clothes rather than wearing them, if that makes any sense. (He was nowhere to be found when she ran out after him.) The voice of God is said to be like "many waters". I think you would have driven off in the ditch if you'd heard the Lord Himself. I'm so glad that He saved you from this accident. What a wonderful thing to be passing along to your children, this wonderful story of help.

Re: Demons and the believer
Yesterday an hermanito stated that I am like a Baptist because I don’t believe in spirits. I told him that I believe there are demons, however, I do not believe that everything opens a door for spirits to enter into a person. I said that “Satanas” does not get authority over a born again believer should he happen to sin.
The topic of laying on of hands was brought up. The hermanito believes that if someone in sin lays hands on you he can transfer the “spirit” to you. The example he gave is porn. He said if the man laying hands on you watches pornography you will then struggle with pornography.
I said, bro, think about this. A person is crying out to God in prayer. Some fake minister living in sin prays over the person... and receives a demon. Do you believe God will allow someone to receive a demon when he is sincerely crying out to God?
The hermanito believes that everyone sins every day. I said, “No. But if YOU sin everyday then you’re opening doors for spirits to enter you, according to your belief, right? That really made him think.
I asked if the pastor believes this stuff. Thankfully, he does NOT. This is the result of watching trash youtube videos put out by “Satanic ex witch” John Ramirez.
I like this church. I am not trying to make a splash. I was asked about my beliefs on prophecy. I said, “It’s not something I want to discuss. I don’t know how long I’m going to be here. I don’t want to say or do something that will keep me from ministry. People have different views and that’s fine. But you don’t attend a church and try to change the church. That causes confusion and you lose people.”
He replied, “You need to tell that to brother ____.”
I said, “I heard about that.”
Maybe a year ago or so a brother that was hosting cell group in his home made it known that he does not believe in initial evidence. He no longer hosts cell.
Last week for whatever reason the pastor stated? “ If you believe some other doctrine we can’t use you here.” And he affirmed his belef in repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name, and initial evidence.
No idea what brought that on.

Re: Demons and the believer
I believe that sin and occult practices can attract spirits that enjoy, or gain strength and influence from, such things into someone's life resulting in oppression. But these things don't immediately bring "possession".
The laying on of hands thing, I think it is partially true. A person's sin isn't going to effect a person crying out to God or send "spirits" into them.
But if one participates in some pagan or witchcraft rituals inviting such spirits to enter, and the witch lay hands on them, I believe such spirits can be transferred. This is because by participation, one invites such possession.

Here is something that will attract demons.

If used in connection with occult practices and intentions, yes. If used as medicine, no.
Nothing is unclean of itself. Sin originates from within the hearts of men.

Re: Demons and the believer
I’m in no wise tech savvy. I just realized you can look at all these threads. I believe n-David ask if I was this person named Aquila. So, i searched for this name and found all these threads. I can see why n-David asked that. Why was he banned?
