Later, probably in the 80's, we got one of those rollaround dishwashers used. You had to wash all the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher to get them clean and so we ended up using it as extra counter space and continued to wash dishes by hand!

Rich people also had microwaves. My Mom and Dad got one finally after I moved out. Probably 85 or so.

We had a microwave and a dishwasher.I loved the microwave but it was HUGE.
We were so in awe that you could bake a potato in seven minutes.My mother was a stay at home mom so I never washed dishes.I worked outdoors with my father training horses and giving riding lessons.

When I was 14 my dad bought me a Fender copy Memphis Electric bass guitar.
It was a copy of a Fender P bass ,I wish I still had it.

Does anyone remember collecting S & H green stamps and going to the distribution stores? We thought that was just like Christmas!!

Yes..I remember that...It was so exciting to go to the store and pick out our rewards...I still have quite a few books that I have not redeemed. I wonder what they would be worth today.
