Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I'm just saying, a lot of people here are disappointed the so-called Cons have left. It's really simple why they did. Some of us would like to discuss our values without being made fun of, that's all.
That's a fair request.

From the lib standpoint, we ask for the same thing...but, unfortunately, we hear "Backslidden, charismatic, greasy grace trinitarians" a lot.

It should work both ways.

Re: Survey About Doctrinal Beliefs

1: Do you believe that water baptism must be done in the name of Jesus and that any other baptism is not a valid baptism?
YES

2: Do you believe that the infilling of the Holy Ghost is evidenced only by speaking with other tongues?
YES
3: Do you believe these things are absolutely necessary in order to be saved and ready for heaven?
YES
4: Do you hold as a core value the basics of traditional pentecostal holiness which is: Men: full length pants, shirts with sleeves, short hair, Women: uncut hair, no makeup, no pants, shirts with sleeves?
YES, Long Sleeves are my conviction!
5: Do you believe a trinitarian will go to heaven?
I know what the Bible says, But only God will do the Judging!

In my opinion:

1. Jesus authorized His disciples to baptize so therefore any baptism which is done is by His authority or "in His Name."

2. No. There is a post salvation experience called by various terms such as HGB (Holy Ghost Baptism); receiving (making room for) the the Holy Ghost; the release of the Spirit; the Spirit coming upon a person; the Spirit falling upon a person; filling of the Spirit; empowerment of the Spirit. Often speaking with tongues accompanies or follows these experinces

3. By "these things" I assume you mean baptism in water and baptism in the Spirit, so I would have to say no.

4. No

5. All who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior have eternal life and that justification/salvation/regeneration experience is completely separate from the various explanations and theories of God's nature and being.

Oh, so we should bow to your almighty interpretation of Scripture and understanding...you’re off to a good start; Jesus drank the cup of Hell?????

Where in the World did you pull that one out of the hat?

You're the exact reason people question Truth.

Re: Survey About Doctrinal Beliefs

no one is obligated to write or read here...some people kinda enjoy attention...
The very reason I enjoy writing here is because we are different...and that in itself is a challenge...
Thanks Admins for the opportunity of being a part of a great forum with many wonderful people.
