Re: Any Hot Topics for a Cold Night?
I will probably end up being scheduled to work, so I'm not sure how much I'll participate in the cookie making. The girls can make cookies though, so they'll get volunteered in my place.
We do the temporary floral shop thing. There isn't a florist-- so we rent the community center and turn it into a florist for the week of Valentines Day. So far, it's been a great fundraiser for the ladies group.
It will be interesting to see how it goes this year with the economy being what it is.
I've helped the last two years making balloon arrangements and driving for deliveries. Someone else might have to be drafted this year. I need to work if they schedule me.

Here's something I found.. I thought it was interesting. Reminded me of a series of books I read recently.

This place is deader than Tutankhamun.

I'm sorry the place is dead. Not that my being here would have made it any more alive than it was--
I just got in from church. We're having a ladies retreat this weekend. We had a great service & fellowship. I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning's service. Sis. Penny Carpenter is the speaker for the weekend, and she's doing an awesome job of ministering to the ladies!

Is she married to Kenneth Carpenter?
BTW, today has been a "miracle" day for me.
I paid off a bill that has been troubling me for some time.
I'll sleep well tonight!!!

Re: Any Hot Topics for a Cold Night?
I think the economy is gonna bottom out in late June, early July.
We may see some sort of recovery this autumn. Even so, I think it will be a long, long time before things feel "normal."

Don't you sleep well every night? And how come you never answer your phone?

No, I don't.
I haven't slept very well for several months. It's complicated.
However, paying off this bill took a lot of effort. It affected my whole life. I am very relieved. God is good.
By the way, I'm getting a new mattress and box spring tomorrow.
Seriously.
