Re: Gabby's
PO - Congratulations to your daughter! I've always thought I would love being a real estate agent, but I have no time.

Re: Gabby's
This has been a rough and tiring day.
I've had a couple of extra kids here all day (Toddlers, age 4 & 2) because their mother had to take their younger sibling to the doctor.
Then my daughter called from college and needed me to come take her to get an X-ray done. (She didn't have her new insurance card yet) So I left my husband and other daughter here to take care of the toddlers-- I went to do take care of Sam.... She's okay-- just somewhat out of circulation for a couple of days.
Then before I left to come home from there--my cell phone rang. The baby is being admitted to the hospital, so I have the toddlers for a bit longer. Not sure at this point how long.
Say a prayer for the baby-- his name is Thomas. He's a very sick little boy.
I will be busy doing what I can to help my friends.
So If I suddenly go MIA on the forum-- this is why.

I am so far behind on the news. When did she close her boutique? With the baby coming may be the best thing as retail is so demanding.
Glad to hear the news of her selling her first home. Hope all goes well with the closing...that will be an exciting day...must go celebrate.

Re: Gabby's
I am sick of being sick. We have had too much rain. My yard is flooded thanks to the guy who bought the property behind us and put in a road that is stopping the water from draining.
Finally, breaking down and going to the doctor tomorrow. So tired of coughing. Usually what happens is be the time I go to the doctor I have just about waited it out and I will be better.

Re: Gabby's
Tina, how is your friend's baby doing?
I'm heading out the door to go to lunch with my friend Dort. Dort was my high school art teacher (I took 4 years of art). After I graduated she got remarried and she and Bruce then traveled for the next 20+ years non-stop. When Bruce got sick and was dying they came back here to live. When he passed, I did the DVD for his funeral (I work for our local funeral home). As soon as she found out that it was me who did it, she called and we went to lunch. We've been hanging out ever since. We have the nicest times! It's funny because there is a 25 year age difference between us, but you would never know it. This has been so fun!
So I'm off today to go to the Candy Cane Christmas Store and then to lunch at Sauders. You all have a good day.

Thomas is on IV fluids, because he had become severely dehydrated--and this isn't the first time it's happened. He wasn't gaining weight while being breastfed, so the health dept/wic started providing formula. They haven't found one yet that this poor baby can tolerate and keep on his stomach. They had gotten him to keep down about 10cc of formula this morning, but that's it. They were going to do an upper GI this afternoon, and have taken all kinds of labwork and the results aren't back in yet.
His siblings are a handful.... and we only have two of them. The older one (age 6) is with his aunt-- for now... so that she can get him back and forth to school.
I know one thing... I'm too OLD to keep up with toddlers. I'm so glad to have my daughter to help! LOL

I can't remember when we closed it. Months ago. You are right, retail is very stressful.
She already had three listings her first two weeks and sold this one. It's a done deal, no problem with the closing on this one.
After surveying the real estate office, she had her office painted, re-decorated and told the owners they were going to update their website with new pictures and told them what they were all going to wear in the photo. LOL! Now they call her "Mama". LOL!
I was telling my mother today, "You know how she is. She walks in and puts everything in order." LOL! My mother said, "Just like you!" I'm sure I'm not that efficient!
But, we are excited with the new venture. She will have more time for the baby! Maybe I will get to babysit some!
