OGIA,
I think you should believe and practice what you want. I've debated and talked about this issue until I'm blue in the face. I think, back on FCF, I started a thread called, "I'm haired out!" lol!
Don't get aggravated about it. It isn't worth it.
God Bless,
PO
I agree, but if someone is going to claim that it's Bible, they should show the scripture that makes that claim.
I was raised with a pastor who stated that things were in the Bible but he wasn't showing us proof because he was the pastor and we should just believe him as our pastor. I did, and I found out that he wasn't being truthful.
Then along come people on forums such as this making the same claims and when I ask for proof, they reply with the typical evasive responses that have become common among their kind.
Sure, believe what you want, but if you expect me to believe it, you better have scripture or you are in fact wasting your time.

Thanks, PO. The problem is you can't even back out of a debate with some people. They continue to object, all the while trying to lure you back into the argument; knowing all along that they are not asking for truth's sake. They ask simply waiting to spring the next question or Greek definition on you.

Ignorance of the Identity of the One True God is not a valid reason to practice idolatry.
You apparently missed with I really implied, but that doesn't surprise me since you approach any request with objection and not true interest. What I implied in my post so many pages ago was that you won't read or hear one new thing in what I know about this topic. I really feel that if you (or someone else) need more than the simple English rendering of 1 Corinthians 11:1-16, there's not much more I can give you. The rest I gleaned from 3 or 4 sermons over time.
Maybe I'm reading a different Bible than you are, but mine says nothing about uncut hair being a hedge of protection or that it has power with the angels. It also says nothing about long hair being uncut hair. Can you give me the version you use? I use a KJV.

I'm here (on this thread) to defend what I see is silly, juvenile rantings about a woman who used her hair as a tool of witchcraft. Why are you here?
I'm here to continue learning about what the Bible really says about every issue being discussed on any forum I'm a member of.

It doesn't exist.
That's a good thing.

No (not just for arguments sake) , people are asking you to back up what you believe with scripture-

There has not been an answer to this, I would like to see one myself.
At this point we could use a little Greek interpretation.

Jeanie, thanks for trying, but this is typical of people who are like him. I'm accustomed to it. People who want honest discussion will honestly discuss. People who want a sounding board will just put the blame on others for lack of honest discussion.
