One can only hear ridiculous reasons for ridiculous rulings.

What we are expected to do is often unreasonable in light of scripture. So whether someone expects it or not, what is the Lord's will? And the idea that it is God's will if the pastor says it is, despite lack of scripture, then I kindly disagree.
Elder Blume you cannot prove Jesus wore a beard. I am not saying he did not but you cannot prove he did. One day without shaving you could pluck the hairs off my face and I do not wear a beard. So you are building on an assumption you can never prove.

He lived the life of a 1st Century Jew... he wore a beard.

You cannot pluck the hairs of your face out unless you have a beard. Do you think they used tweazers when Jesus carried His cross to pluck out the hairs of his face? lol

"Oh, Jesus. Please, sir, if you will. Stand still, and let me take my tweazers and pluck out each little piece of stubble from your face, for I disagree with you."

They grabbed handfuls of hair, bro.

Early church writings mock the idea of a beardless man.

But you can't use culture, Bro Blume, to prove it. YOU MUST use chapter and verse, or it's not proveable. If it's not in the bible, it didn't happen.

History and culture has no bearing on it... only because it would fly in the face of their messed up ideology.

There are laws in each country that might seem silly to me, but that doesn't mean that I do not abide by them. In the Army, you are not allowed to have a beard (unless you have a shaving profile, but even then you still must shave every so often). Do you break laws or rules even if you don't agree with the silliness of them?
