Here is the deal folks. At General Conference, different divisions often compete with each other. Not in a mean-spirited way, but in a raw dollars and cents way. Divisions actually pay to have prime service times. The smaller divisions get the worst schedule times, so of course their offerings are lower.

It used to be that PPH footed most of the bill, but in recent years PPH has struggled mightily to do so. Sales have remained at the same gross dollar level, or been reduced, for several years now.

Also, our culture is a little odd (for lack of a better word). Our folks have come to expect a certain quality of "show" as some have called it. Most of our preachers would be insulted to stay at a Motel 6.

We are spoiled rotten. Apostolics are the biggest el cheapos in the world.
That being said, there is a lot of belt-tightening needed.

Are the five anti television group going to be required to cite sources for all the propaganda they spread? I doubt it.

If GC is losing that much money, it may take more than a $25 registration to break even... I imagine there could be a slight drop in attendance... So the registration fee may not be as effective hoped...

I don't know what to think sometimes....... honestly ..... and if you voice what you think or feel you'll get booed at by some, maybe agreed with by a few.

I just don't know what to think about some things anymore. We talk about worldliness. I think we buy into it and don't even realize what's happening. It goes so beyond hair, makeup and pants ...... or not.
