Re: Rockets hitting Jerusalem
90 minutes into a ceasefire and Hamas breaks it...again.
The UN "Human Rights" body condemned Israel (again), among other things for not sharing the Iron Dome with Hamas! You can't make this stuff up. Of course, the report by the notoriously anti-semetic UNHRC doesn't mention the 3 schools where the UN found Hamas rockets (then gave them back to Hamas), which is an actual war crime. Instead they complain Israel is committing war crimes by not using the Iron Dome against its own missiles being fired into Gaza.
Sometimes I wish Netanyahu didn't have the patience he's been showing. The US would have used drones, planes and likely would completely invade Gaza and raze it to the ground if it were in the same position as Israel. I wish Netanyahu would do the world (including the Arab world) a favor and just make a crater where Gaza and Hamas is right now.

Re: Rockets hitting Jerusalem
so, you lobby for satan, then. kill 'em all, and let God sort 'em out--regardless of what Scripture demands that a believer do. Then how are you any better than Hamas, wadr?

Netanyahu has made a statement that ceasefire or no, Israel will finish the job of destroying the Hamas tunnels in order to protect their citizens and in order not to allow the threat to remain.

Shazeep, Israel doesn't have tunnels running into Gaza to carry terrorist weapons into the community to use against the citizens. Israel's schools don't have the children chanting - "Death to Muslims! Death to Arabs!"
If you think that Israel has no right to use force against an attack, that is just crazy thinking. If Hamas wants peace, they need to STOP digging tunnels!

I've seen his statements on the tunnels, and it's good and necessary to destroy all the tunnels. But if that's their final objective and they stop after the tunnels are destroyed, Hamas will still be around to start firing more rockets in another year or so.

The tunnels puts Hamas at a great disadvantage and shows that Israel can hold it's own. You don't advocate nuking the whole Gaza strip, do you? I am understanding there are Palestinians who don't want Hamas to control the area. So, IMO, the destroying of tunnels is a good military move in order to allow the voice of those, supposed, Palestinians in Gaza to rise up against the continued terrorist attacks of Hamas.

Re the bold part above, no, not at all. My comment about making a crater was just annoyance with this ordeal. I do think they should target all the Hamas leaders and soldiers take them out. Whether it's by using drones or flooding Gaza with 100,000 IDF troops.
I don't have the same optimism that the Palestinians in Gaza will rise up against Hamas. Not unless Egypt and Jordan help them. Destroying the tunnels is imperative. It would be a big blow to Hamas, but they'd be back in a year or two if this stops with destroying the tunnels.

I read an article concerning this in a Israeli newspaper yesterday concerning this point, but I can't recall which one. Thinking about it, it could have been in the Washington Post. If I find it, I will link it here.
