Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
When I contacted Latter Rain people in Oakland, they had never herd of Morse. Morse does not show up in their literature.
After he pulled out of the UPC, Andrew Urshan would still come to Oakland for revivals, as he always did before, but not for Harry Morse. He would have revivals for the new UPOC church in town.
This was in 1949. By then most of his Azusa Street friends were already passed away.
Merry Christmas, Rev. Epley !!!

The Hawtin(sp) brothers were the driving force of the early days of the latter rain movement. It started in North Battleford Canada.

The latter rain movement hurt a lot of men on the west coast, still hurting some today.
There was such a move away fro the LR that many good conservative men swung all the way on the pendulum to the other side and for them there are NO gifts of the Spirit.
Those men influenced a generation that we are seeing on the west coast today. Bad move as they threw the baby out with the bath water.

My Pastor said it had such a bad affect some churches even threw away their oil bottles. Anyone who preached faith and promoted gifts of the Spirit were placed under question. The Apostolic College at Tulsa under the Williams were placed under question because of their faith teaching and the gifts. They certainly were not latter rain!

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
That crazy latter rain junk started close to where i now live... over in Battleford Saskatchewan. Since then the nutty Toronto stuff happened in the 90's. I am embarrassed for my country, for that along with it become pro gay marriage before any other nation.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
There is a distinct twistedness that goes along with that stuff.
Yet, there are still the real gifts of the Spirit that God desires to use in His Church and to stop using them or allowing them to be used, because of the depravity of others, is error.
