I don't know that I say it was a sin on the part of the person being baptized in the noneffecacious titles without knowing any better. I would just say they are going down a sinner and coming up a sinner. They have not taken on the Name of the one and only Savior. Without the application of that Name, they are as lost as can be, which is horribly sad.

I agree that this is true SOMETIMES and it bothers me as well.

There is NO remission of sins outside the Name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only in the name of Jesus Christ are sins remitted.

Cooper it would be a sin for me to baptize someone in the triune baptismal formula cause I have a revelation. But hey I would baptize your kids in the name of Jesus The Christ.
