ILG,

I've followed your posts closely regarding your husband's physical trials and the anguish that it has caused you. I wanted to tell you that I have been praying and believing for complete and total restoration of health for your husband.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. Psalm 107:13

Thank you so much for your prayers today. It has been very trying. My husband writhed in pain this afternoon but he thinks MAYBE he's over the worst part of the kidney stone thing. He hasn't seen anything yet, but the intense pain has passed for the moment. He may have passed it or, he may just be in the right position for the pain to ease up and later it might come back. I pray it's over for him. Poor guy.

He had an ultrasound today about the liver spots. The person doing the ultrasound who is NOT trained in reading and is not a doctor but who has done this for 20 years said her opinion is that it is benign. Well, she may not be a doctor, but it has helped me get through the day, hoping that she's right.

God bless you all.

ILG. it appears you are really going through it right now as a family.
God is ready, willing, and altogether able!
I too have had Kidney Stones as well-drink lots of water-helps keep the pipes from clogging with a kidney stone.

If he passes one, try to retrieve it for analysis by the lab.
Some stones such as myself are idiopathic, which means there is no known cause for it.

Praying that God will give your husband a Miraculous 40 TH Birthday present!

In Jesus Name!

Jesus has already done the healing. All your husband needs to do is, find a scripture that promises healing and say it with a mustard seed of faith. Then forget about the problem. From that moment on, just give God praise. Don't tell anybody about the problem, don't talk about the problem. Don't think on the problem. Just talk about the answer as if you have it now. Keep doing that until you see it come to pass. (Mark 11:23-24)

That sounds sort of nuts, BL. I can't control my husband's healing nor my husband his own by quoting scripture and forgetting the problem exists. I think the best thing to do is trust God and chose to love others and be happy regardless of circumstances. Some people have been healed, some have died, some have suffered etc. What we control is Who we worship and chose to believe in regardless of the answer He gives us. I intend to look up and trust no matter how bleak or how awful. I'm not saying I'll even do a good job. I just try and let God fight the battle. I am hoping and believing for a good outcome. God is good......all the time. My husband's prognosis is supposed to be good, but I have friends whose son died after fasting, praying and giving it all to God. In the end, unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it. I do believe my husband will be healed, but your answer doesn't seem based in solid biblical Christianity. Not that I don't appreciate the effort.
