All instruments at our church, even if they are run through their own personal amplifier, are run through the sound system. I have two line outs on my amp (Beringer with 99 preloaded effects) for stereo sound that runs through a direct box straight to the soundboard where it is mixed with the other instruments and vocals.

This works well for us. Anyone else out there doing so?

A close friend of mine who goes to foreverblessed's church is the head of:

www.gospelguitar.org

It is odd. Their meetings are only in the Indy-Anderson-Muncie area of Indiana, but they have members from as far away as Europe. The site is very basic, he had just got the guy to do it when I offered to help. I, and a dozen others here, could have put up a really nice one. If only I had known sooner.

Say does anybody remember Duane Friend ,I think he was the Happy Goodman's lead guitar man ? He played a Chet Atkins fingerstyle type of picking.

I play my Electra for the action and versatility. It has the Gibson sound, and a flip of a switch and I have a Telecaster sound. I have two Squire Stratocasters in my office, if I ever need a change of pace, and our steel player has two Fender Telecasters on his double mounted guitar stand. If I need a change o' pace, I can have it, believe me!
