I'm no Trumpster, but I don't believe Trump should be criticized too much over this. It was requested by ground commanders, not the Trump administration. In addition, the permission to call upon the use of this weapon was granted under Obama. This complex is such that we really would only make a dent with conventional air bombing. And a ground invasion would have heavy casualties. While the use of such weapons is very troubling, I do believe that this minimized the loss of life and destroyed the complex.

Perhaps we should be thankful that Trump trusted the ground commanders. You know, he insisted that he knows better than they do. lol
