Apparently Roberts tried to claim at his recantation that he never meant to be construed as believing that Jesus' name baptism and the Holy Ghost with tongues were part of being saved, or that the Oneness view was Biblical and trinitarianism was error... even though his own writings clearly demonstrate that he believed all that and more.

I think he was convinced that if he continued in the Oneness camp he would lose out on all the blessings of AoG membership and fellowship, even though he resigned his position with the AoG shortly afterwards and descended into absolute obscurity.

All with the exception of Bell faded into obscurity after their defections.

Didn't know it was ever in need of restoration. Never went away or was lost.

It is that New Light Doctrine that always has to pop its head up.

My statement does not mean these truths were ENTIRELY lost. It means generally speaking that which survived was pretty small in numbers and influence. Nonetheless Im sure they were not ENTIRELY lost.

So certainly they were restored as in they came out of obscurity.
