Same here (I don't even have TV). This has nothing to do with Fox News, and everything to do with conservative values. It's not a "apply them here, but not here" approach. Either one believes in conservatism, or one doesn't.

So it conservative to give the rich tax breaks at the expense of the majority, yet if you try to help the middle class its liberal. Somehow the rich earned their money and the middle class didnt.

I've yet to get a decent answer from a lib on this. We hear, over and over, "give rich tax breaks at the expense of the majority," yet no one can prove this. Same, tired rhetoric, repeated ad nauseam.

Show me how tax breaks come at the "expense of the majority."

David please correct any of my assumptions with facts. Serious. Lets have a civilized discussion about this. Remember the conservatives favorite President Reagan? Look at the national debt before and after him. How is that not a result of Reaganomics? More recently, look at the Bush era tax cuts. His direct quote "We have a surplus. That means people are paying to much taxes." Of course when he said people he meant the rich. The result of the Bush era tax cuts? It has laid the foundation for the mess we are in now.

Say whatever you want about Clinton, the economy was good. We had a surplus.

You didn't answer the question. Like most liberals when I ask the question, they change the subject or ask a question of their own.

Show me how cutting taxes is done "at the expense of the majority."

I'll respond to this other stuff after you answer the above.

Correct statement: If you receive "earned income credit" or "child tax credit" on taxes you never paid in the first place, you did not earn that money.

It adds to the debt. Both parties refuse to cut spending at all. How is that not at the expense of the majority?

No argument there. I still think that better serves the economy due to the fact that most people throw that money back into the economy by spending it.
