What is your reaction to FBI crime stats that show violent black on white crime dwarfs violent white on black crime? Isn't that really the elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about? Doesn't the ignoring of such stats by the media and government demonstrate that, all in all, discrimination is in the Afro-Americans' favor?

A lot of black on white crime are crimes of opportunity without race being a factor.

However, with white on black crime, many times race is a factor.

Then you have the situations where white cops kill black assailants and I think that is a completely different category of crime to be dealt with all by itself.

Unfortunately, your experiment wouldn't work if all the black cops knew they were being put there to guage their responses. Of course you are going to be on your best behavior if you KNOW you're being watched.

The cop in South Carolina did what he did and "knew" he'd get away with it because he didn't think he was being watched! He even LIED about what happened and tried to cover himself.

Maybe it wasn't racism. Maybe the cops just got tired of dealing with the mentally ill man so they killed him-- and he just happened to be black.

Even if that was the case, it doens't make it right-- the cop's life was not threatened!

Now you're talking! I agree with you completely! I guess the point I'm trying to make is that if we assume the problem is racism, and it turns out that was not the case, then we've left the real problem unsolved.

There certainly is something going on with cops. I do not claim to know exactly what it is. I do know many white citizens are making similar complaints about the rude and militaristic demeanor the police are showing more and more. Not to mention the militaristic look of dress and equipment that seems to have become the norm.

Originalist, individual racial prejudice and racism are still problems in our country.

God bless America, we've come a long way. Today's America is different from the America my Dad was born into and grew up in. Still, we have a long ways to go.

Think about Jermyn.

Blacks only make up 12% of the population. Whites are 69%. Yet black on white violent crime dwarfs white on black violent crime. This in itself proves that black on white crimes are not just crimes of opportunity. The flash mobs speak for themselves. And let's not even get started on interracial rape stats. White on black rape is practically non-existent.

All of this should at least get as much air time as a handful of white cops shooting unarmed black.

If it is proven that any cop shot someone over their race, then hang 'em high and leave their body swinging for at least three days.
