I agree....But why is it in the national news? This is a private parental decision of an obscure family nobody has even heard of. No black person was deprived of life, liberty and property. Yet epidemic, violent black on white crime is ignored.

It seems that white liberals are constantly looking for any story like this they can find to pick at the scab that would have healed long ago had it not been for them. This is all designed to keep black people feeling victimized and distrustful of whites.

I was doing church security for a UPC predominantly black church,(in 2008), and we were telling our good brothers with OBAMA bumber stickers about how he supports gays. They said to us.."I am voting for that black man!"

What I saw in that church repulsed me.

They betrayed their Christian values for their race.

I am talking UPC church!

They are all my "racist" UPC friends now.(when I see them)

I have been told this. The Louisiana UPC district consisted of white churches and black churches in for sure the 70's, 80's, and 90's. The black UPC churches not only did not participate in the district camp meetings they did not even mix in the same cities. No two white UPC churches could be in the same city or at least it was discouraged but there could be a white church and black church.

I have a good source. Just confirmed it. Same camp meetings where Edwin Edwards could sit on the platform but not Jesus because Jesus had a beard. No Jesus, no black people. You folks are some real winners aintcha. Dont play dumb with me Prax. That was a fail.

Everywhere I go I see huge numbers of whites and blacks together at UPCI functions. I see black evangelists invited to preach in predominantly white churches. I see several mixed congregations. Florida had blacks on its district board. If you see segregation in Louisiana it is possible that the blacks prefer it that way.

If they prefer it that way today (which I doubt), it didn't start off that way. Race in America is complicated. But the history behind race in America is not complicated. You have the dominant and the dominated, the victor and the victim. The insidiousness of white racism in America is something this country is still paying for. Whatever we have today, there is a history behind it and that history has a root.

Why is it you only commented on that part of my post?

I can give you an example of "them wanting it that way". The Church of God (HQ Cleveland,Tenn) denomination is integrated, except one State, Florida. Why? Because the Afro-American congregations have preferred to keep a separate district all these years. They have their own leadership, departments, etc.
