Re: Favorite Bible for Preaching

In my opinion CAMBRIDGE is the best Bible. I have had more of them than any other over the years. The ones I had were perfect print and perfect size!

I wish I could find a NKJV in Cambridge for a decent price.

I'm a Cambridge junkie. My primary preaching Bible is a Concord wide margin in french morocco. I also have the regular Concord in calfsplit. It's a great choice for reading and carry. I've considered getting a newer edition in goatskin. I am currently reviewing the NKJV wide margin (for my Bible review site, Bible Buying Guide). The Clarion is an amazing reader, but I have trouble preaching from paragraph format.

Which Cambridge is your favorite?

Re: Favorite Bible for Preaching

I have always got the same size Cambridge. I just measured it at about 7.5x5. It says on the front page Cameo 16, refs India. Dont know what that means but it is black with calfskin leather cover.

I bought this one used at the Discount Book Store in Seveirville about 5-6 years ago. It was marked in a bit but at $35 it was a great deal.

That is a steal for a Cameo! That's one of the best in my opinion. It has amazing paper and print and the concordance and references are nice too. I preach from it sometimes.

So do they make a NKJV in that same format? If so what do they go for?

Unfortunately no. The only NKJVs they make are the Wide Margin, Pitt Minion, and Clarion. The Pitt Minion has a smaller font, but the Clarion's font is .75 larger. It's set in paragraph format and is my favorite reader. It's about the same size. They start around $100. I have the calfskin edition. Here's my review: NKJV Clarion

Randy, is there an NASB you would recommend that does not have the see-through page problem that many other Bibles have?

The best one is Schuyler: Quentel

Next would be the Cambridge wide margin: Cambridge
