OK. Bush initiated the auto bail out, but it was at the chagrin of his fellow Repubicans-- so it really wan't a Republican idea, it was a Bush idea.

It wasn't a Republican idea because the Republicans were by and large against it.

It was a Republican idea because it was a Republican who bucked his own party and signed it into law.

It was WISELY continued by the Democrat Obama and the DEMOCRATS who SUPPORTED the idea.
