I'm sorry you detected harshness where there was none. When you say that you're departing a forum and won't be involved it kind of sounds like burning bridges to me. As I said I'd prefer that he leave the door open for coming and going as he feels. That is my wish.

Where do you see harshness in that SoCali? C'mon bro. Don't accredit that to me. These are the phrases Thad himself used .... "farewell speech" ..... "departing from this forum" ...... "walk away" ..... and everything was written past tense and that to stay in touch we'd need to contact him personally which is fine, but I'm just saying that it sounded like he's left and definitely not coming back.

"Burning bridges" is a common expression used to describe this kind of decision making and action. It's not a particularly harsh term.

Thad,

You know you have a lot of friends here. Some have misunderstood my issues with some of the things you posted on NFCF as me having something personal against you which it was not. I consider you a friend and I will certainly miss you if you do not post here.

I will eventually make it to your neck of the woods (as we say in TN)and hopefully it will be on a church night so I can experience some of that shockamoo for myself (please don't let the lady who slings the high heels nail me in the head though).

I guess burning bridges means something else where I am from. When you have burned a bridge there is no coming back at all...and it is usually under very negative circumstances. He made a post praising te admin here. I think if he were to reconsider, the door is always open. If you burned a bridge...that door pretty much stays closed.
