The Bible calls them fools, which they are. However yes it should break our heart that they are lost. There are a range emotions we should feel towards them and their cause. Compassion and concern for them and their souls, and we should be in great opposition to their cause.
Unless you came out of the womb sanctified, justified and according to some doctrine speaking in tongues you to were a fool an enemy of God.

I assert that nobody actually hates God. Some are accused of it, and deny it. And who are you, or anyone who lived thousands of years ago, to say they are wrong? They say they don't hate God, but you know better? Preposterous.
Some say they hate God, sure. And who am I to say they don't? Well, I think if you get to the bottom of it, whom they actually hate is the picture of God that was painted for them: a big, powerful, supreme being, who sits in judgement of the people He created, who are behaving as they were designed, people who can't not sin! Someone who will punish people for not being perfect, which they can't do. Most people, that is: the ones who can't find the narrow way. (So they've been told.)
But is that God?
Well, how many toddlers do you know who would say that they hate their parents? But good points; you know I don't buy most of that death-centric yack, but we are just so heinously sideways here that even our good is bad, imo.
