Still past tense.

He said he had all power prior to his last ascension so it's clear he conquered everything, including death. He holds the keys to death and hell.

The Word of God (Rhema--Utterance) itself is sitting in the place of authority and judgment.

How does Flesh = Spirit & Life?
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
-------------------------

Death is the last enemy that shall be destroyed (Verse 26). Once death is destroyed then Christ will cease to reign (Verse 25). This will all happen at the end (24). The end won't happen till after the second coming of Christ (23). The dead will be made alive at the second coming of Christ (22+23).

Therefore, if the dead have not yet been made alive then 1 Corinthians 15 speaks of events which are yet to happen and thus Christ still reigns and death is not yet destroyed.

Further, all the verses except 27 speak of these things in future tense, mostly evidenced by the use of "shall". (I have bolded the relevant parts).

Further, read 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 for more insight. These verses clearly show that death is not swallowed up in victory until the dead are raised incorruptible...

Re: Is Jesus Sitting on a Throne in His Flesh?

The Body of Christ today is the Doctrines and body of the Church. That is how we eat of His flesh and drink His blood. We accept the doctrines and become the Body.

There is only one Body, the Church.

If someone believes that there is a seperate body than the church, floating around in heaven somewhere, that is heresy.

Teklemarian was kicked out of the upci for divine flesh, yet we see dispensationalists still preaching divine flesh up in heaven.

Again, the ONLY body of Christ is the Church and the doctrines associated with those doctrines.

It's a heresy minefield out there it seems...

Does this really matter, by the way. Does it change how one lives their life?

Yes! It gives people something to argue about!

...the dead in Christ have already risen?

You are going to have to do a much better job of explaining these things than simply stating, its all past tense. It's not past tense and shall proves it. It's not past tense and the fact that the dead in Christ have not yet risen also proves it.

I’m not saying one way or the other if these verses are past tense but …

Exegetically tenses are always in relation to the author. This is an obvious exegetical rule that is often ignored. Since these verses were written 2000 years ago, they could be past tense to us.

I totally agree. That is why I didn't only mention the use of shall. That is why I also mentioned the dead in Christ rising. Has this already occurred?
