Ok fine, so it wasn't "one little difference". It was actually 4,118 differences, but I thought if I campaigned for just one little difference, I could get my foot in the door.
That foot is probably what got you in trouble.... "one stepper!"

The United Pentecostal Church is in trouble. I have a friend who works at the headquarters building and he said that the Media Division and Publishing House were shut down. He said that the Sunday School department laid off the promotions man, Robbie Knox and that many others were asked to take a pay cut.
Um, no. Sorry, but bad info. Have you seen the updated web site? They outsourced the product handling/ordering but PPH is still operational. I sent a shipment to CNI last week, and billed PPH. Good thing/bad thing, whatever; it is definitely still there.
8. General Conference. Electronic voting will begin in Houston in 2010...
This is good but not enough. Some other denominations have non ministerial representatives (with voting rights) from among the laity.
If we are making and interpreting policy that effects constituents beyond pastors, then representatives of the same should have voting rights.
A lot of denominations do that, as you pointed out. However, this would change the nature of the UPC from an alliance of ministers to a body of believers.
I'd like to see such a change... however I'm not holding my breath.
