My mouth hurts a little, but that just goes with it. I played a Russian Ballad and sent it to my son via cell phone. He texted me back, "Is that a ringtone?"

Anyway, back to the Hokey Pokey - I dare you to lead services with that number! Put your right hand in, put your right hand out, put all your mulla in the offering plate now .....

I was thinking the same thing DG.
Not much different that one of our youth meetings and us singing, " I can't stop praising him"
Watch it at the end. You think god didn't touch that girl? Oh yeah....she's wearing blue denim...that can't be God.
Do I like the HG Hokey Pokey...... NO !! but I have witnessed a lot of hokey pokey in our own ranks.

Seriously, I think there is stupidity in a lot of places. What concerns me is the percentage. I think 80/20 is a pretty good ratio on the stupidity. 80% of good is enough for me not to bail, prematurely, over a 30 year period. I might could bump that a little, but I'll stay with the 80%.
Anyone on here that says everything is 100% "hunky dory" in their world is just plain lying in my book. LOL!
I know someone that has hookers in their Twitter account. Hello!
Had some strange stuff happening in the Catholic Church, but I learned that Jesus Christ loved me. We weren't allowed to wear pants, especially at church, and also had to wear veils on our heads. So, everyone has something that isn't always going to be kosher. No pun intended for the Jewish faith. LOL! And speaking of the Jewish faith, you have the mystical Kabbala.
All religious sects have three factions - Liberal, Moderate and Conservative.
I've seen people give a fleshy display of a move of the Spirit, but at least they didn't start out like this video. At least I haven't seen that in my experience. LOL! Of course, I won't deny that it hasn't happened either. I'm sure it has. The person that Tweeted the clip is not UPC. She said something about feeling sorry for the people of faith that she knows.

It just goes to show that folks can get emotionally wrapped up no matter what's coming out of the microphone. That's why worship leaders and singers/musicians have a responsibility to use their gifts wisely. I've known worship leaders/musicians to deliberately manipulate the service by speeding up or slowing down the music. (And laugh about it later.)
Not that different from "Father Abraham" as far as the lyrics go. LOL!!
The purposeful methodology of the worship leader and the response is what is interesting--not the song itself. I'm all for an emotional response to God...I really don't know what to make of this video. It's sad to see a congregation manipulated like that, and I have seen it happen in Apostolic services. However, a crowd of people rejoicing in the Lord and exuberantly praising God doesn't equate manipulation by the leadership. Just because there's an emotional response doesn't mean that response was wrung out of them, and an emotional response doesn't mean that God was in it.

I agree with your response completely, I just would add, not only the worship leader should be careful, but anyone else in authority over a service.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

True, I was only thinking from my perspective.
