Relationships. So you have to carry the card to have a relationship? You have to sign a statement you don't believe to have a relationship?

The funny thing is you can sign the card and still have some card carrying members NOT want anything to do with you, despite having a church that preaches Acts 2:38 and standards. To some, if you are not preaching standards at least 2 to 3 times a month, you are a charismatic

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Then how valuable are those relationships? Worth living a fake life over?

Everyones lives are full of contradictions. I imagine for those in such situations they are doing the best thing they can.

I'm sure they are. Speaking to hypothetical people right now though. There's many that would be better off to hve courage, make the move and go. Then life won't be dominated about this stuff and we can be about the Father's Business.

I'm sure thats very true for some people. But I also see the possibility that some of the people in such positions have been placed there by God. Maybe it's so they can help bring about change and truth from the inside and maybe it's so they can be changed by being around the truth. Who knows?

Organization worship. Maybe it helps some remain accessible to different opinions... sure. But it's a bit dishonest IMO... in certain cases, I should qualify.

God told you to get a license from the UPCI or to preach the gospel and tell lost souls about Him?

I'm not berating card carrying people who differ on issues that they don't think are worth separating over, but I am curious as to those who share differences that if known by their peers would close doors for them anyway. Neither are they exempt from criticism. If everyone voted with their feet, you'd see more results and change. People that care will keep contact. Some aren't fully sure of their theology, so that explains why they are not moving right away. They are figuring things out themselves.
