Got several hundred shotgun shells, 30-30, and 270 for long range, thousands of rounds of 22 for close quiet work, and just aquired a 1911 45 cal for personal defense up close.
Might be a good idea to get your water supplies and food storage checked out.

It's coming home folks. As one American pastor said.... The chickens have come home to roost!
Malcolm X once famously said that as well. I think this raises an interesting point. Personally, I am not an advocate of fighting a Civil War of any sort, but threads like these get me to thinking. Many of the same people who would criticize a Malcolm X for being willing to fight against an America that marginalized him, violated his liberties, and created a harmful atmosphere for his children seem willing to do the same when they're in a position where they feel the government and society is doing the same things to them.
I believe that what we need is real leadership and a real voice not from either extreme not from traditional politics and one who really will speak for and to the American people.

You've hear the expression, "When all is said and done......."?
Well, usually a whole lot more is said than done.
I think there will be a lot of griping as we see freedoms erode under a stronger central government and we see more and more redistribution/equalization of wealth and possibly the bankruptcy of our nation but I do not think we'll see any of the states secede like prior to the Civil War.
It might be so bad if two separate nations were formed along the lines of the red and blue of the last election. I guess I'd go along with the middle Americans vs the extremists of the east and west coast plus Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
I seriously doubt you support socialism, you may think you do.
So let us see if you do.
1. Do you give your money to others that have none until you are on their level? as much as I can
2. Do you enjoy the right to express your opinions? I would say yes, and that right would be taken from you. unconstitutional, will never happen
3. Do you own land? That right would be removed as well. yes, will never happen
If you seriously support socialism, I suggest you move to a communist country and be happy and leave us alone.
there is nothing wrong with taxing the rich to support the poor. It is called a progressive tax system which is what we have.
Do you support: social security, medicare, medicaid, unemployment benefits, police, firefighters, public schools, public transportation and postal workers? Hello, socialism is already here. the only thing is we haven't introduced it into our market economy, which could be done by nationalizing the oil industry and paying down our debt. I am not a communist but I support all of the above programs. I don't have to move. There is nowhere in the world where socialism isn't already a part of the political system.

Stew, you always stay in the mish mashy middle. why don't you show some spine and take a stand on some issues despite who you might distance? I think you are afraid to show your true colors for fear of offending some posters. Tell us who do you prefer would be president today from anyone in america?

No that is not what socialism is about it is about taking ALL you have if necessary.

Never happen? You are dreaming or extremely deluded.
3. Do you own land? That right would be removed as well. yes, will never happen
Never happen? It already is, what country are you in?

I don't think anyone has the right to tax one group of people to support another, per se. But I don't think the rich should have special favors either.

York's top court ruled Tuesday that the state can use eminent domain to force homeowners and businesses to sell their properties for a massive development in Brooklyn that includes a new arena for the New Jersey Nets.…AP 11/24/09
The government now appears poised to wield greater control over private property on a number of fronts. The battle over private property rights has intensified since 2005, when the Supreme Court ruled in the Kelo v. City of New London case that the government could take property from one group of private landowners and give it to another.
This bill is described by opponents as a sweeping overhaul of the Clean Water Act that could threaten both physical land and jobs by wiping out some farmers entirely.
"Right now, the law says that the Environmental Protection Agency is in charge of all navigable water," said Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., chairman of the Senate Western Caucus and an opponent of the bill. FOXNEWS.COM

And it's not just business properties that they're going this on. You know, they wiped out eight people's homes over here. Your home ain't even safe,” says Bailey, who told 60 Minutes that his neighbors let the city buy them out.
But he’s refusing to sell: “I’m standing in their way. I’m their thorn in their side.” And he’s a thorn in the side of Ken Lenhart, who owns the Ace Hardware Store a few blocks away. Lenhart wants a much bigger store. He could have negotiated with Bailey, but instead, he convinced the City of Mesa to try to buy Bailey's land through eminent domain and then sell it to him.

And this isn't happening just in small towns. In New York City, just a few blocks from Times Square, New York State has forced a man to sell a corner that his family owned for more than 100 years. And what's going up instead? A courthouse? A school? Nope. The new headquarters of The New York Times.
The world's most prestigious newspaper wants to build a new home on that block, but Stratford Wallace and the block's other property owners didn't want to sell. Wallace told 60 Minutes that the newspaper never tried to negotiate with him. Instead, The Times teamed up with a major real estate developer, and together they convinced New York State to use eminent domain to force Wallace out. How? By declaring the block blighted.--60 Minutes

These examples are not examples of socialism in America, they are examples of courts siding with big business against the little man, capitalism.
