Well, keep in mind that I never said it won't be rough for the Longhorns.
Nebraska has a killer defensive team but, a sorry offense.
Alabama has both a good defense and offense. That's the part that is going to be tough.
I won't concede until that game is over!

Oh yes, I watched the game......we had a houseful of crazed Husker fans.
But, keep in mind, Nebraska was a 14 point underdog, so this should be a wake up call for Texas. And, when you only have 106 yards of total offense as Nebraska did, you can't expect to win a football game! If we had any kind of offense whatsoever, we would be heading to a BCS championship game. However, even with our wimpy offense, our defense kept us within a play of winning the entire game.
Pelini has turned this team around, and hopefully within the next couple years of recruiting, we'll be able to pick up some offensive power.

Always a Texas fan. My husband is an Austinite!
I did cheer for A&M, once in a while, which is my brother's alma mater but, after they endorsed Obama, I dumped them.

You are right - if you had better offense you would have won. The defense kept you going. Goodness, I thought we were going to lose, but I couldn't get up and walk out of the room. It was like a train wreck!
Well, I do hope it gets turned around but, of course, always rooting for Texas!

Our defense has pretty much won every game for us this year. In fact, a local sportswriter asked if it was against NCAA rules to keep your defense in the game for the entire time, lol.
I'm a Michigan fan first and foremost, but after the fourth game of the season, that was pretty much a lost cause, so I turned my full attention to my adopted team, the Huskers!

My heart just breaks for the economy in Michigan. I read a quote by Sarah Palin saying that we should rally behind them because they are Americans. I agree. I hope someone is able to turn that state around for the economy!!!
I watched Michigan play a game over the Thanksgiving holidays and I could only think I wanted them to win just because of the economic condition of that state!

I can't say much though, my team got beat by Alabama this year. And it just so happened that they just barely beat Nebraska by 1 point also. So once Texas loses to Alabama, us Virginia Tech fans and you Texas fans will be in good company

The state is definitely in dire straits, but I can only hope things are starting to turn around. I think the automotive companies are making some slow recoveries, and maybe a new governor will help the cause.
Either way, the economy there was a definite factor in my decision to accept the transfer to Omaha, and we really love it out here. One of these days I may go back to Michigan, but in no hurry!

I'm following some of the political stuff going on, but I don't have an opinion on that yet.
I think Nebraska is a beautiful place. It was great you had a good choice for a place to transfer.
