Most of these have not had a jury trial, but are there on a plea bargain. Which is every Americans right due to the 6th Amendment. Only problem is no one wants to do jury duty or know enough of the law to make a good judgment.
I agree. My point, though, is that at some point I think incarcerating all drug users is impractical. The problem is compounded by mandatory sentencing guidelines. I personally know people who are spending more time in prison for possessing drugs than people who routinely rob and assault people. There are people spending more time in jail for drug charges than murderers, rapists...and even this scumbag who ended up killing the officers.

I agree we do not need to regulate people's personal habits unless they are harming others.
I think that the position that we are put in due to overcrowding and the need to make room is ridiculous. There are too many stories like this of very dangerous, violent career criminals getting paroled long before they should and sometimes in cases where they never should. From a practical stance, we are all victims of the "War on Crime" as it is.
Most of what I've read says that more than half of those incarcerated are incarcerated for drug offenses. The game that is being played within prison industry is ridiculous.
They need to take lessons from China and maybe we'd have less crime because they wouldn't want to be in prison. It's a step up for many of them to have bed and three meals.

He is only conservative when he is doing an interview, in practice he has never been. Not a fan of Huckleberry at all. I would have voted for just about anyone on the Republican side last election ahead of him.
I voted for Huckster both times as governor, never had a problem with anything he done here in Arkansas. He stood up to the high rollers and the lawmakers for the people. He done what was right despite the fact it might step on others toes.
Huckabee commuted this mans sentence. That means he reduced the sentence from 108 years to 44 years. It does not mean he freed him. When he came up for parole that decision was made by the parole board which made the reccomendation to Huckster. With what they gave him, he agreed. The man then violated his parole, was put back in prison again and later was reccomended for parole AGAIN ! Under the same circumstances as before he was released and moved to Washington. The state of Washington jailed him on the charges of assaulting a police officer and child rape. Somehow, the judge, knowing his history still ruled to let him go for as little as a $15,000 bond. Thats why he was free to do as he done.
So Huckster was right, its not just his fault but in fact the whole justice system failed, from Arkansas to Washington. But of course, who is going to care about facts anyway when one has an agenda ?

In fact I think that the insinuation of "hateful" Pentecostals is coming mostly from the fertile imaginations of bitter, backslidden ex Apostolics who are constantly trying to find a way to justify their actions. ~ strait shooter

Thank you, Scotty!!!! It is always very good for someone from the state of the person in question to weigh in!
