I joined in March of 2003, loved it, hated it, was addicted to it....it was my first real invitation to exchange scriptural views and perspectives WITHOUT any regard for persons!!!!

I recently joined GNC (Good News Cafe), not the supplement store .....anyhow, I was curious how many memebers of AFF post over there? If you do, do you have another screen name?

I read through some of the posts and the whole thing was a bunch of touchy feely back patting...boring.
I run it, it isn't as open as AFF, we tend to want discussions kept more to the more traditional apostolic viewpoint, as one of the owners I am more conservative when it comes to things like standards, even though over here I speak out against the WAY that standards are presented and taught as additional parts of the plan of salvation.
We are also 100% Acts 2:38 just like it is written three steppers and enforce that as part of the rules.
So, it is slow any more. Historically it started out as the ADB around 1997 making it one of the first if not the first Apostolic forum. I took it over in 2001, and because at the time I was a pretty hard line standards or hell type I pretty much ran it into the ground with some blunt and straight posts to people about things like pants on women, makeup, jewelry and yadda yadda (I still believe those things but have lightened up on how I treat others over it)
Also on my uncompromising stand on Acts 2:38, something I haven't lightened up on. ENd result many folks didn't feel the freedom to post their views and FCF was born, I helped Jim Yohe set up FCF because I wanted people to have freedom to post whatever, just not at the GNC.
FCF went away and NFCF started, then NFCF imploded and a little later AFF was started by a few of the survivors..

At the moment I am not doing anything with or promoting GNC, it simply exists.
I remember when you took over GNC when it was a free for all. You did come in and straighten things out. Jim as Cyclops used to get me riled up. Later with his SN "Faithchild" I figured out who he was by doing a reverse # search by the phone number he posted to a person needing counseling. He had a heart I enjoyed my time at GNC.. I was just thinking about someone from there the other day. I should try and look her up.
I've come such a long, long way.... I do not even want to think about reading my post from waaayyy back then.
