I am on the internet more than I am on TV, but during the day I watch:
The Price is Right
Judge Hatchett
Divorce Court
Judge Joe Brown
People's Court
Judge Judy
5 O'clock news
Jeopardy
Wheel of Fortune
Shows like Survivor, CSI, American Idol, Cops, anything on Discovery Health Channel, etc.
That's about it. And most of the time, the TV is on while I'm on the internet so it's mainly for background noise.
It's obvious that I'm such a filthy sinner due to the programming I watch.

All of those statements applied to TV can be applied to the Internet just the same.
That's not true. Some can be applied, but the media format is VERY different (unless you are watching TV on your laptop). On this forum for instance, you are reading what I wrote - not watching what I produced. The way the brain interacts with the two are VERY different.

Every one of them can be applied.
I'm reading what you wrote right now, but the Internet is not comprised solely of things that you've wrote that people read.
You can watch and listen on the Internet just as well as read and write.
I thinks he means adverts on the television make one want to go out and buy deordorant and makes women want to shave their legs. Before television the Sears catalogue was one's only medium of temptation.

12 So whenever you speak, or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law of love, the law that set you free. 13 For there will be no mercy for you if you have not been merciful to others. But if you have been merciful, then God's mercy toward you will win out over his judgment against you.

Yes. But not at the same time....

You're applying the term Internet to the technology - not the content. How many people do you know that will sit a 5 year old in front of an Internet connection as a baby sitter? I know many that will do it with a TV. Totally different technology and control issues. Be reasonable and admit that.

The first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem...
Actually, I'm a bigger sinner then you because my TV is probably bigger then yours ----
nah-nah nah-nah-nah

Why go to extremes to prove a point?
I know people who have a computer for their 5 yr old and they play games on it constantly, but does that mean we then preach abstinence for everyone else because 'someone' allows the internet to babysit their kid?
