The Kentucky fan base feels that it is a constitutional right for their team be in contention for the basketball national title each year! Crazy folks!

Re: Calipari to Kentucky?????

I get the feeling that some don't think Calipari can pull it off in KY.

Personally, I think Rick Patino will have some serious competition. Louisville has been enjoying the ride for a long time. Time for a few bumps in the road.

I think Calipari will bring KY back to their former glory, but it won't be as easy as it was in Memphis! The SEC schedule will be brutal. He will have to battle Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Vandy each year just for the SEC east title! That will not be a cakewalk! He will not go undefeated in conference play like he did at Memphis!

He'll enjoy that.

The big 12 is stronger than he can cope with.
Kansas a greater program beat Memphis last year and Missouri did it this year.

Whatever! After listening to this type of thing for 23 years when I lived in the Memphis area, all I can say is...

IT WAS OLD THEN AND ITS OLD NOW! Memphis never gets any credit. Even if they were in a different conference, I am convinced they still wouldn't get any credit. Even if they won the whole thing, they still wouldn't get any credit. It makes no sense whatsoever. In fact, its just plain stupid.
