Most modern english translations translate the verse containing "the Antichrist". Most modern englsh translations use the oldest manuscripts to translate, older ones than King James had to work with, not "predispositions".

Most modern translators are working under the influence of over 150 years of dispensationalism being taught in most of our churches

D4T, a few quick questions for you, if you don't mind...
Do you believe there is a "man of sin" to come, as Paul spoke of in 2 Thessalonians 2?
Do you believe there is ruler to come who will be the "king of the North", as Daniel wrote of in Daniel 12?
Do you believe "the Beast" of Revelation 13 represents an actual man who will come, and that the "False Prophet" of that same chapter is also a literal man to come who will be second-in-command to the man who would be "the Beast" ?

TRF it all happened in 70 AD. We are now living in the "new earth"! Isn't that exciting. The new earth is here and its full of murder, corruption, child abuse and homosexuality. Isn't Christ's Kingdom wonderful????????

Almost correct. 
THE antichirst is a spirit. It is not personified in one man, but MANY.
THE antichirst in that verse is THE SPIRIT. That is the only THE antichrist in the bible, and 1 John.
When we read in chapter 4 and come to verse 3, we are given the identity of THE antichrist they HEARD WOULD COME. And it is not a man but a SPIRIT.
