Re: CC1 Son In Bad Car Accident

You have much to be thankful for tonight, CC1. I know things have been tough, but this is sucha blessing! I'll pray for your son. Hope he listens to his dad this tiime and gets checked out. But we all know the folly of youth, so don't be disappointed if he doesn't.

Praise God no one was seriously hurt! He should get that tongue checked out. He may need to swish and spit some antiseptic so it won't get infected.

Thank God he was not seriously hurt. I'll pray he recovers and finds a new car... finding insurance might be tough.

CC1, I'm glad to hear that your son is OK! It's a very scary thing for you, I'm sure!

Re: CC1 Son In Bad Car Accident

CC1 I am so thankful that your son was not more seriously injured. I am praying he goes to the hospital to get checked out more. I understand what you have been through with this. My son, too, fell asleep, ran off the road, over compensated and then flipped end over end seven times and then rolled they think about eight times. When his truck finally stopped...it was upside down and he climbed out of that truck with minor injuries. God is faithful to watch over our children and protect them. Will keep you and your son in our prayers.

Re: CC1 Son In Bad Car Accident

Thanks everybody for your thoughts and prayers. My son is carefully monitoring himself for any unusual pains, symptoms, etc this weekend and will probably get looked at by a doctor Monday even if he is better.

The giant hole he bit in his tongue (both top and bottom) is causing him the most pain. He can only eat yogurt, etc right now. I think a doctor should at least see that even if there is not anything they can do for it.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
