Dude, I have too many to mention.

However, one of them is that I hate being put on the hot seat by my so-called friends.

I think the messenger of Satan was a condemning spirit sent by satan to hurl accusations at Paul for his past as a murderer of believers.
My thorn in the flesh would proably be a inferiority complex.

I think expressing your true feelings might be one???

And I don't mean when you're angry.

Scripture says that Paul's thorn in the flesh was the "messenger of Satan sent to buffet him". But what was the buffeting? And how did it effect Paul?

That's a pretty interesting perspective ... Scott ... I never thought of that.

He must have had been weighed with a lot of guilt ... over the blood he spilled of brothers and sisters in Christ ... No wonder he labels himself as once being the most vile sinner.

While others deal with inferiority ... sometimes haughtiness can be a problem. Both are an intense focus on self ... rather than our Creator.

The buffeting proably was mental anquish from a spirit accusing Paul.
Imagine preaching to people whom you proably had mudered some of their relatives or had them inprisoned.
The devil is the accuser of the brethren.

A mutual friend of ours, the Travster, is also tight lipped.

When grilled you joke around ... classic defense mechanism.

Yes, I've made that point before. I think Paul truly suffered as a result of his behavior and actions -- putting those who loved the Lord he later came to love and serve -- to death.

It comes through in his writings.

Perhaps Pauls thorn was a weakness that drove him to his knees.
After all it does say that lest he be lifted above measure this "Thorn" was given to him.

A weakness that you can not get over will drive you either out of Church or to the foot of Jesus.
